Butia Books sells digital books. This page explains what information we get when you visit butiabooks.com or buy from us, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do. If anything is unclear, write to hello@butiabooks.com.

When you visit the site

This site doesn't use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies of its own. Two outside services are involved when the page loads:

Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the page and protect it from attacks.
The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when your browser requests them.

When you buy

Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. You enter your payment details on their checkout, not on our site, and we never see or store your card number. Lemon Squeezy shares with us your name, email address, country, and what you bought and when. Their handling of your data is covered by the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy.

What we use it for

We use your details to deliver your purchase, answer your emails, process refunds, and keep the records the law requires for sales. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone except the services named on this page.

Emails

You'll get the emails needed for your order, such as the receipt and the download link. We'll only send other emails, like news about new books, if you've agreed to them, and every one of those will have a way to unsubscribe.

When you email us

If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you and follow up.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and emails for as long as they're useful for helping you. We delete what we no longer need.

What you can ask for

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it or delete it. Some sale records may have to be kept by law. Write to hello@butiabooks.com and we'll answer within 30 days.

Health information

We don't ask for health information. The symptom log and tracker in the book are for you to fill in on your own copy, and nothing you write there reaches us.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
